Meet our Ambassadors
Alan Wilson (BA Hons Econ & Econ History 1977): Originally from Liverpool, Alan has lived and worked in Asia (Hong Kong, Indonesia and Pakistan although primarily Singapore) since 1982. He is a board member of reinsurance company Swiss Re Asia, based in Singapore and has spent his career primarily in the insurance industry, predominantly in senior Asia focused executive and board roles for Japanese insurer MSIG, and previously German insurer Allianz and UK insurer Guardian Royal Exchange (acquired by French insurer Axa). Alan is a Senior Accredited Director (Singapore Institute of Directors) and was awarded Asia Insurance Review’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
Preeti Dubey (MBA 2008): Founder & CEO of Strive High Pte Ltd, a global consultancy, Preeti specialises in leadership development, soft skills, and mental well-being. With over 25 years of experience in the banking, maritime, and corporate sectors, she has empowered more than 10,000 professionals in 20+ countries. Holding an MBA from the University of Liverpool and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, Preeti brings together business expertise and a deep understanding of human behaviour. She is passionate about giving back to the University community, inspiring future leaders, and helping students and alumni grow with confidence, purpose, and authenticity
Kim Yan Lim (BA Hons Business Economics 2007): Kim is a senior insurance professional with nearly 20 years of experience across Southeast Asia. She has built her career with leading financial institutions and data analytics firms, including Citibank, Aon, Zurich Life, and Verisk, specialising in business development, strategic partnerships, and data-driven solutions. A graduate of the BA (Hons) Business Economics programme in 2007, Kim is passionate about giving back to her alma mater and is committed to supporting and mentoring the next generation of students.
Alfred Yeung: Alfred is a seasoned property professional with over 25 years’ experience across the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia. A Chartered Architect, he has led major development and investment portfolios and founded his own consultancy. Although not a University of Liverpool alumnus, he is a valued supporter of our Singapore alumni community and contributes to academia.
