Taiwan

Your alumni ambassador for Taiwan (ROC) is Sandy Chien (MA English Renaissance and 18th Century Literature 2009).

Hi, my name is Sandy, your Alumni Ambassador for Taiwan.

I did my MA in English Renaissance and 18th Century Literature. I am now living in Taipei, Taiwan and I am currently working as an assistant researcher in Academia Sinica. The Liverpool I remember is an amiable, pleasant, and exciting place to live in. It is the best place for a student, with its vibrancy and livelihood glittering the every days of a student’s life.

I am certain as alumni you have also acquired a fond memory of your time in this wonderful city and exciting campus. By getting actively involved with our alumni activity, not only will you maintain a lifelong connection with the University as a global community, you will also be able to take advantage of numerous benefits.
Alumni Relations is important because you and other alumni share the same memories. These memories can only be fully understood and appreciated by those who have similar experiences. Careers support is also another great advantage for becoming involved.

Here in Taiwan, we have approximately 140 alumni, and there is real potential for our activity to grow. We provide a medium for you to meet old friends, network and establish links with fellow alumni, receive practical career support, provide information to prospective student, or simply socialise with others.
Are you in Taiwan? Please do get in touch, to receive updates on activities, latest news from the University, and other opportunities in which you would like to get involved.

Have an idea? I’d be delighted to hear from you. Let me know what would appeal to you and we can make it happen.

Thousands of alumni around the world benefit every day from their links to the University of Liverpool. Join them now.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.
