Meet our Alumni Ambassadors
Dr Brian Jones (BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering 1961; PhD 1965) has been involved with the University’s alumni activity in the USA since its formal inception, including serving as a board member of the University of Liverpool in America, Inc. After graduating, he emigrated to the USA in 1966 to join McDonnell Douglas Corporation, working on early applications of composite materials. Following a period with Aeronautical Research Associates of Princeton, where he obtained his Private Pilot’s License, he returned to Southern California and founded Compositek Engineering Corporation in 1976. He led the company until his retirement in 2020. Brian lives in Southern California with his wife of 52 years. He enjoys driving his 1960 Triumph TR3A, listening to classical music, reading, gardening, continuous learning and travelling.
Anthony Low (LLM International Business Law 2018) is senior counsel and data protection officer at the global bioscience company Niagen Bioscience, based in in Los Angeles, California. Anthony is responsible for coordinating company-wide issues related to intellectual property, artificial intelligence, SEC reporting, data protection, and overall risk mitigation. Prior to joining Niagen, Anthony was a partner at a private law firm based in Boston, Massachusetts practicing civil litigation. Anthony enjoys volunteering within the Los Angeles legal community, competing in marathons across the world, and studying the genesis of punk rock.
