Congratulations to Liverpool alumni and staff recognised in King's Birthday Honours 2026
We are so proud to see members of our University of Liverpool alumni and staff community recognised in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours list. Those honoured have made significant contributions from a range of fields, including gaming, healthcare, public service, science and digital inclusion.
Dr Deborah Faint (MB,ChB 1990) is among those honoured. For almost 30 years, Dr Faint has worked to improve access to healthcare for people experiencing homelessness, addiction and social exclusion.
For her work championing more inclusive practices in the gaming industry, Liz Prince (BA Hons 1990) from Amiqus was also honoured. In addition to Liz’s recruitment role at Amiqus, she also founded G into Gaming, an initiative celebrating women working in the games industry, and co-founded Empower Up, a platform providing equity, diversity and inclusion advice for the gaming industry.
For his services to science and technology in policing, Professor Paul Taylor (MSc Psychology 1999, PhD Psychology 2004) also received an award. Professor Taylor is the Police Chief Scientific Adviser to the National Police Chiefs' Council.
