Dear alumni and friends,

I am writing to share some personal news. On 2nd April I will leave the University of Liverpool after five very happy years as Director of Development and Alumni Relations. I am heading down the road to the University of Manchester, swapping one great northern city for another.

The last five years working here have been a pleasure and a privilege. I’ve watched the University rise up the rankings league tables, I’ve watched, often in awe, as my academic colleagues make world changing break throughs and I’ve watched our talented students head off to shape the world as the next generation of doctors, entrepreneurs, campaigners, performers, thought leaders and change makers. I’ve watched our alumni and friends’ community support all of that to happen.

In the past five years you have donated £30 million to support our students and our academic community and you have given more than 40,000 hours of your time volunteering. You are fuel in the University engine and it has been wonderful to get to know some of you over the past five years. Sincere thanks for all you do to support the University.

I am looking forward to my next chapter but I will be watching on as the University of Liverpool continues to thrive, powered by this wonderful community that supports everything we do.

May I wish you all the very best for the future,

Suzie
