1. Liverpool Christmas Market
Set outside St George’s Hall, the Liverpool Christmas Market is packed with festive food, local crafts and plenty of seasonal cheer. It was also recently named one of the UK’s best Christmas markets -the perfect excuse to go and explore.
2. Ice Skating & Festive Village at BOXPARK ICEBOX

4. Guild Christmas Event – 1 December
If you’re heading back to campus, the Liverpool Guild of Students is getting festive with seasonal stalls, entertainment and plenty of winter treats.
5. Festive Walks around the Royal Albert Dock
Take a winter wander around the Royal Albert Dock and watch the lights dance across the water. It’s a beautiful and peaceful setting for a festive stroll.
6. Liverpool Cathedral
From creative workshops to traditional carol services, Liverpool Cathedral has a full festive programme - including the popular The Light Before Christmas: The Gift, an immersive light and sound experience inside the cathedral.
7. Elf-tastic Christmas at the VG&M – 6 December
Back on campus, the Victoria Gallery & Museum is hosting its Elf-tastic Christmas event, ideal for families and those feeling playful this winter.
8. Festive Shows & Pantomimes
Get into the festive spirit with performances across the city, including Elf the Musical at the M&S Bank Arena (6–7 December) and the classic Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs panto.
