Nominations now open for the 2026 University of Liverpool Alumni Awards
We’re delighted to announce that nominations are now open for the University of Liverpool Alumni Awards 2026!
Each year, the Alumni Awards recognise up to 20 outstanding graduates, celebrating the incredible achievements, ambition and impact of our global alumni community.
The 2025 Alumni Awards reminded us just how inspiring our community is. Among this year’s winners were Milo McCabe (comedian and creator of viral character Troy Hawke), Professor Richard OC Oreffo FMedSci OBE (Professor of Musculoskeletal Science at the University of Southampton and founder of the Cowrie Scholarship Foundation) and India Sasha Atkinson (disability educator and digital creator).

India said, “Receiving an Alumni Award means more than I could ever fully express. I never imagined that an educational organisation would see value in my voice, my work, or the paths I’ve taken. It makes me feel seen, appreciated, and genuinely proud.”
Now in its sixth year, the Alumni Awards continue to celebrate the diverse ways our graduates are shaping the future, from science and technology to creativity, leadership and social impact.
Introducing the 2026 categories
For 2026, we’re proud to introduce five themed award categories, recognising excellence across disciplines and industries:
- Sustainability and Environment Award
- Sciences and Engineering Award
- Health and Well-Being Award
- Culture, Creativity and Sport Award
- Enterprise and Innovation Award
Please refer to our guidance for instructions on submitting nominations in these categories.
How to get involved
Anyone can nominate a Liverpool graduate, whether you’re a fellow alum, colleague, student, staff member, family or friend. Both self-nominations and nominations of others are welcome, and nominators can submit more than one nomination across different categories.
We also encourage recent graduates (those who completed their studies within the last ten years) to get involved and share their early career achievements, and your Liverpool story might just inspire the next generation.
Nominations close on Monday 15 December 2025 at 5pm (GMT). Read more about the category and eligibility details here.
