Give Peace a Chance – A Celebration of the Beatles

This spectacular concert is a celebration of The Beatles, honouring their legacy with powerful performances by local choirs, dancers and vocalists of their greatest hits.
Inspired by the Peace Wall at the Liverpool Beatles Museum, where hundreds of local children have shared their artwork and messages of unity, their heartfelt creativity has sparked a vision for this wonderful night of music, harmony, and hope.
Candlelight: A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac

Science & Society: Weighing Molecules to Diagnose Disease, from Heel Prick to Skin Swab

The Science and Society Lecture Series 2025 welcomes Professor Perdita Barran (University of Manchester) with her talk Weighing Molecules to Diagnose Disease: From Heel Prick to Skin Swab.
Discover how mass spectrometry, already used worldwide to screen newborns for metabolic disorders, is now revealing a simple, non-invasive way to detect Parkinson’s disease from skin swabs — with over 95% accuracy. Inspired by the observations of retired nurse Joy Milne, this ground-breaking research could transform early diagnosis and treatment.
World Boxing Championships Liverpool 2025

World Boxing hosts its first-ever Elite-level Global Championships, marking a new chapter for Olympic-style boxing. For the first time, male and female athletes will compete side by side for world titles across 10 weight classes each, showcasing the very best in international boxing talent.
As the inaugural event from the sport’s new international federation, these championships promise high-level competition, thrilling bouts, and a celebration of boxing’s place at the heart of the Olympic movement.
British Science Festival 2025

The British Science Festival is back in Liverpool for the first time since 2008! Celebrating its 194th year, and in partnership with the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University, the Festival will host over 100 free events — from comedy and art to talks, workshops and interactive experiences. Covering everything from space and sport to psychology, forensics and nature, it’s a vibrant celebration of science in all its forms.
