To celebrate World Book Day, we’re sharing some of Liverpool’s top bookshops. From independent gems to iconic stores filled with literary finds. Here are some top spots to explore books in and around the city!

Reid of Liverpool

Just a stone's throw away from the Liverpool campus, Reid of Liverpool boasts a collection of rare second-hand books. The shop holds 40,000 titles including academic, science, fiction, unusual and arcane literature.

The Reader Bookshop

Situated outside the city centre at Calderstones Park, The Reader Bookshop offers a day out browsing contemporary and classic fiction.

Located at the heart of Bold Street, News From Nowhere is Liverpool's not-for-profit radical and community bookshop.
