The University of Liverpool Management School strengthens alumni connections in India
A delegation from the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) visited India between 9th - 19th March, to connect with alumni based in the country.
Three evening networking events were held in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. Professor Julia Balogun (Dean, ULMS), Professor Tolgas Bektas (Associate Dean International, ULMS) and Lisa Gerraty (Alumni Engagement Manager, ULMS) hosted the event and shared updates from the University and highlighted ways in which alumni can connect with the school and each other.

Alumni from a range of programmes dating back as far as 1996 and as recent as 2023 came along to share their career successes and connect with fellow alumni.
These annual events are growing in popularity and are part of the school’s ambition to foster life-long relationships with its global alumni and in particular develop the network in India.
Shraddha Agrawal (Master in Management 2019) said: “Had a wonderful time at the ULMS alumni Mumbai meet up. It was great connecting with everyone, cherishing our uni memories and getting inspired by everyone’s rich experience in the room.”

Lisa Gerraty, Alumni Engagement Manager for the School, said: ”Connecting with our alumni in person, championing their success and facilitating networking is a key part of alumni engagement. It is exciting to see our alumni community in India grow and our alumni benefit from these new and exciting connections. I am already looking forward to hosting more events across India in Spring 2025.”
Following the trip, the Management School is pleased to announce it has launched a Global Sports Business Management Programme in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management Indore. The Memorandum of Understanding for the partnership took place on March 18 2024 during the visit and was signed by Professor Julia Balogun, Dean of the University of Liverpool Management School and IIM Indore’s Director, Professor Himanshu Rai.
