Alumni and supporters worldwide donate essential PPE

The COVID-19 Emergency Response Campaign is raising funds to support the University’s world-leading and transformational COVID-19 research, as well as providing essential PPE to protect NHS and social care staff who are working on the front line and our researchers on campus handling live virus samples.

We are incredibly thankful to our global community of alumni and friends who have generously provided this much needed support: City of Xi’an, Liverpool Chinese Students and Scholars Association and The Belt and Road Association UK, Liverpool Chinese Business Community, Brock Carmichael Hong Kong, Nigerian Alumni Network, Victor Yang, Lei Peng, Angus Ho, James Lo, Raymond Chan, Benjie Kwong, Goker Malik Altuntas, Diane Latawiec, Carmel Pinnington and Isobel Connell.

Liverpool’s Chinese Community lends support to University’s COVID-19 Campaign

The University of Liverpool this week took delivery of nearly 12,000 items of PPE equipment, the result of a hugely successful and co-ordinated effort between the University, local Chinese community organisations in Liverpool and the North West, and city partners, including Liverpool City Council and the Liverpool China Partnership.

In response to the University of Liverpool’s COVID-19 Emergency Campaign, the University’s Nigerian Alumni Network have made an incredible contribution of 10,400 pieces of PPE towards the COVID-19 donation scheme.
