The group of French alumni and their partners came together for a weekend reunion, celebrating 50 years since graduating

Alumni from the French Class of 1969 reunited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their graduation from the University of Liverpool.

Coming together from the 14-16 June, the group had a full weekend planned by reunion organiser, Martin Walker. The group explored the city by with a walking tour, visiting the Central Library where they had a viewing of the rare book collection and as well as having a commemorative reunion dinner.

Alumnus Dave Walker said of the weekend: “It was very gratifying and rewarding. I've always considered my time at Liverpool the key turning-point in my life and it was as marvellous as it was poignant to be reminded of what lovely people I shared those years with.”

Another alumna, Elizabeth Dolman added: “It was entertaining, deeply moving, and for me, cathartic.”

If you would like to organise a reunion for your own class year, attend an event or come back and visit campus, you can contact the Alumni Relations team via: alumni@liverpool.ac.uk and we will be happy to help.
