Make an impact, become a school governor

Published on

Good school governance improves outcomes for children. But there are thousands of governor vacancies across England, leaving schools without access to the skills necessary to make the best strategic decisions.

What many people don’t realise is that they already have the skills needed to become a school governor. Like any business, schools need skilled people to support them in driving systematic change in an increasingly challenging climate. A strong governing board can help improve educational standards so that children and young people have the chance to realise their full potential.

University of Liverpool alumni have the skills that schools need. Volunteer as a governor and shape children’s lives while developing your own career.
