Physics graduate wins national nuclear skills award

The UK nuclear industry came together to celebrate excellence in skills at the annual UK Nuclear Skills Awards on the 15 March 2024, with University of Liverpool graduate Natasha Khan walking away with the coveted title of Graduate of the Year.
The evening, organised by NSAN and Cogent Skills, celebrated the remarkable achievements of individuals and companies, while spotlighting the talent within the sector.
Natasha graduated with a First-Class degree in Physics in 2021, and is now working as a Nuclear Safety Engineer at Mott McDonald.
Judged independently by representatives spanning the industry and professional associations, the awards marked its 16th year with a record number of nominations, making Natasha’s achievement all the more impressive.
Professor Tim Veal, Head of Physics, University of Liverpool said: "Congratulations to Natasha! She is great role model for our current and future physics students. We wish Natasha continued success in her career."
