Denise Nurse

Denise is a seasoned solicitor, business and life coach and a TV presenter. She reshaped the legal landscape by championing remote work for lawyers. Her magnetic presence extends to television, where she hosts Escape to the Country on BBC One.

In 2007, Denise co-founded Halebury, a market-leading legal consultancy and resourcing firm. Denise was a champion of remote working for lawyers, culminating in an acquisition by Elevate Group in 2018.

Whilst working as an in-house lawyer for BSkyB, she entered a Sky Talent competition to discover fresh presenting talent. Her skills shone through immediately, and she made her TV debut in 2005 on Sky Weather, and presented weather forecasts on Channel 5. She also presented for Sky Travel from the Caribbean and other exotic locations.

In 2008, she joined the presenting team on BBC One’s ‘Escape to the Country’. She has also featured on Watchdog advising on consumer and legal issues.

Denise is the co-founder for Black Founders Hub a peer networking group for ambitious black founded services businesses. An advocate for flexible working, female founders and ethnic minority businesses.

Denise also co-founded a non-profit organisation Support SEND kids which seeks ways to improve the system for SEND kids and their families, by using technology to amplify voices currently supporting the SEND community, so that all families have easy, searchable access to the information and knowledge they need.
