Dr. Yan: A Pioneer, Commemorative Exhibition

Dr. Yan Fuqing, a pioneer of modern medicine, public servant, and educator, Dr. Yan Fuqing (1882–1970) was the first Asian to earn an M.D. from Yale University, followed by advanced studies at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Throughout his career, he made monumental contributions to Sino-British medical cooperation and cultural diplomacy.

Commemorating his legacy, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, University of Liverpool and Jiefang Daily proudly present a global exhibition featuring rare archival letters, historic images, certificates and newspaper clippings. The exhibition will make its UK debut in Liverpool this September.
