About the event
As a valued graduate of the University of Liverpool, I’m delighted to invite you to a summer drinks reception for alumni working at the heart of policymaking, public affairs, and communications. The event will take place on Wednesday 30 June 2026 from 6.30pm, in the Council Room at One Great George Street, London SW1P 3AA. As well as hearing a short update on recent developments at the University, the evening will be a chance to reconnect with old friends and grow your network of fellow alumni working across government, policymaking, communications, and other influential sectors. We also hope to be joined by some of our current students aspiring to careers in public affairs and communications — I know they would benefit greatly from your insights and experience. The reception will begin at 6.30pm, with brief speeches from 7pm. Drinks and canapés will be served until 8.30pm, with plenty of time for conversation and connection. We would be thrilled to have you join us for what promises to be an enjoyable and inspiring evening.
