At each event, we spotlight a Management School graduate who is making an impact in their industry and achieving amazing results. This time, in celebration of International Women's Day, we're excited to be joined by alumna Emma Clark (Football Industries MBA 2020), Women’s Commercial and Marketing Manager at Blackburn Rovers Football Club, as she shares her career insights and experiences. Hear Emma share her story as a single mum of three, challenging societal norms, and achieving success through hard work, determination and love of the great game. Dr Laura Radcliffe (Reader, Organisational Behaviour) will talk to Emma about her core beliefs and drivers. About the speaker Emma Clark is a dynamic professional with a passion for transforming the sponsorship landscape across sports and business. She is currently the Women's Commercial and Marketing Manager at Blackburn Rovers, where she has made significant strides in growing the women’s game. She secured Dakota Biotech as a brand-new front-of-shirt and training kit sponsor, achieving record-breaking deals for the women's team. With a strong work ethic, exceptional networking skills, and deep expertise in football and commercial industries, Emma continues to drive commercial success and expand opportunities for female athletes. Previously, as a Board Member at Tharros, she provided strategic guidance, ensuring sustainability and public engagement. Her experience as a Freelance Consultant/Agent includes managing global athlete charity announcements, brand negotiations, and athlete marketing strategies. Her experience also includes serving on the Managing Committee of The Association of Sporting Directors, where she helped shape business strategies, develop industry relationships, and explore commercial opportunities to support football leadership. With an MBA in Football Industries from the University of Liverpool and a First-Class Honours degree in Sports Science & Development, she was awarded the ‘Woman in Football WHATIF’ scholarship for her contributions to advancing women in football. She has shared her insights on diversity and inclusion with FIFPRO and Women in Football. Click on "Create a calendar file" and your browser will download a .ics file for this event.
