From clinic to publication: Georgia Woods-Lee’s achievement with BSAVA
We are delighted to celebrate Georgia Woods-Lee, the Small Animal Teaching Hospital’s Weight Management Clinic Lead, on becoming a published author with the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA).
Georgia has co-authored the newly released BSAVA Guide to Nutrition in Small Animal Practice, a comprehensive and practical resource designed to support veterinary professionals in delivering the highest standards of nutritional care to their patients.
With extensive experience in clinical nutrition and weight management, Georgia has been at the forefront of advancing patient care at the University of Liverpool. This achievement is a fantastic showcase of what veterinary nurses can accomplish and a testament to Georgia’s dedication to the profession.
Georgia is an inspiration to her colleagues, students and the wider veterinary community, and we are proud to celebrate this important milestone in her career.
New podcast launch, Liverpool Vet School Presents: 12 Minute Medicine
We are also pleased to announce the launch of a new, short-form educational podcast, Liverpool Vet School Presents: 12 Minute Medicine, hosted by Dan Batchelor, Professor of Small Animal Medicine at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital.
Designed to be relaxed, conversational and easily digestible, each episode lasts around 12 minutes, ideal for a coffee break or commute. The podcast was originally recorded for veterinary students, but following positive feedback it is now being released publicly via Spotify.
Each season focuses on a specific clinical theme and features a guest expert, with an emphasis on informal discussion rather than traditional lectures. The first episode launches on 9 February and explores core biochemistry topics, beginning with albumin.
We look forward to sharing this new learning resource with the wider veterinary community.
