Nigeria Alumni Ambassador, Faith Osiobe shares highlights from the Nigeria Alumni Network’s first international reunion in Mauritius.
We came, we saw, we conquered – and what an unforgettable experience it was!
What started as a dream late last year, to create history with the first-ever University of Liverpool Alumni Expedition, blossomed into reality in beautiful Mauritius.
We enjoyed seven incredible days filled with fun, networking, learning, adventure, and exploration. We even celebrated a destination birthday along the way.
With alumni joining from Nigeria and Sierra Leone, to meeting with alumni living and working in Mauritius, this journey was about more than travel. We bonded, we reconnected, and we proudly showcased the best of our alma mater together.
One of the most rewarding aspects was meeting alumni based in Mauritius, helping them connect with each other, and welcoming them into the wider alumni network. The joy and excitement they shared made the experience even more special.
As we left Mauritius, we did so with full hearts, new friendships, and our eyes set firmly on the future. The next expedition is already on the horizon for 2026, and we can’t wait to do it all again.
Thank you to everyone who made this milestone possible, the University of Liverpool is proud of us for carrying the torch so brightly.
