Congratulations to the Class of 1995 on their 30-year anniversary. Organiser Dr Paula Greed captures the atmosphere in her account of the glitzy reunion at the Hope Street Hotel.

On Saturday 13 September 2025 over 70 Liverpool medical graduates celebrated their first reunion at the Hope Street Hotel, Liverpool.  It was a year in the making.

The room was electric and the common bond uniting us together still seemed as vivid as 30 years ago.

Many of us had not seen each other since graduation as medicine had spread us not only across the United Kingdom but the globe, with attendees joining us from Canada, New Zealand and Europe.

The medical school as we know it in the Duncan building no longer exists, but our recollections of our joint experiences are not so easily erased!

The emotion was palpable and rather surreal as we struggled to chat to everyone in the time we had.

The majority had to slip this visit within their NHS work and their amazing  service to the NHS has done Liverpool School of Medicine proud!

We even managed to contact our Dean, Professor Orme who kindly relayed his good wishes.

Everyone said we should not leave it so long next time and I couldn’t agree more!

Well done to Dr Greed and the reunion organisers on pulling off such a fantastic celebration. If you are looking to do the same for your classmates, please do get in touch with us at alumni@liverpool.ac.uk and we will be more than happy to assist.
