Science in the Snug: Uncovering the Universe

Alumni are invited to attend the first event in the 2017 Science in the Snug lecture series, hosted by particle physicist and leader of the University’s Large Hadron Collider beauty (LHCb) experiment group, Professor Tara Shears.
In her lecture, entitled Uncovering the Universe; latest news from CERN, Professor Shears will discuss the University’s latest research from CERN and the LHCb experiment, which investigates the differences between matter and antimatter through the study of a type of particle called the "beauty quark" or "b quark".
The event will take place on Thursday 25 May in The Leggate Lecture Theatre in the Victoria Gallery & Museum, Ashton Street, Liverpool, L69 3DR (building number 421 on the campus map) and will begin at 6.30pm. Tickets are FREE but must be booked in advance via the link below.
