International Women’s Day 2017
Wednesday 8 March, 6pm
Alumni are invited to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017 with The University of Liverpool Management School and the Women’s Organisation on Wednesday 8 March.
Every year we celebrate this important day in women’s history and this year is no exception. We will be bringing together a panel of talented, diverse and pioneering women to discuss how they have made changes in their lives; and how we can learn from their experiences to make changes for the better in our own lives.
This event will be hosted by Pamela Ball, Chair of the Women’s Equality Party Liverpool, and panel members include:
- Rebecca Jones (BA Hons English Language and Literature 2010; MA Victorian Literature 2011), Co-Founder of Liverpool Girl Geeks;
- Helen Lord, Director of Used Kitchen Exchange;
- Irene Afful, Founder of Ametrine Enterprise Solutions and also the first black, female Detective Inspector in the history of Merseyside Police.
The event will take place on Wednesday 8 March at The Women’s Organisation (54 St James Street, Liverpool, L1 0AB) from 6pm until 8.30pm. Tickets cost £5 and can be booked using the link below.
