The Benefactors’ Fund exists to enhance the experience of students at the University of Liverpool.
From providing state-of-the-art facilities on campus, to life-changing opportunities for scholarship recipients, donations to the Benefactors’ Fund have a profound impact on our community of students and researchers.
Donations are distributed on an annual basis to scholarships and projects across campus where the greatest impact will be felt. Please visit our Funded projects page for an outline of some of the projects that have been funded.
Donations to the Benefactors’ Fund are only part of the way in which our alumni help to shape the institution after graduation, and they are hugely important in maintaining the inclusivity, high standards of research and the unique student experience associated with the University of Liverpool.
Thousands of alumni and supporters who have already made their gift and have had the pleasure of meeting scholarship recipients, know the difference a gift can make. Thanks to the generous support of alumni, along with the help of a HEFCE’s matched funding scheme, we have raised an outstanding £1million to support students at Liverpool today!

Grant application process now open
Donations made to 'Areas of Greatest Need' through the Benefactors' Fund are allocated to student-focused University projects through a bidding process.
Winning bids will be selected from applications received from the University's Academic and Professional Services departments that meet all essential criteria, as outlined in the application forms.
